Description
Every spring, the sound of high pitched trills can age quite loud around certain ponds and marshes. This is the annual mating of the Eastern American Toad. It's not a native species in Newfoundland and there is a population specifically around the Corner Brook area where the toad was first introduced to the island in 1960. Hundreds of toads meet for mating and a sing song, this is a male singing his heart out!
